Following a science-based reduction target approach, Spyrosoft Ltd remains committed to reducing at least 90% of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions by 2030. All remaining emissions will be offset where avoidance/reduction isn’t possible.

Spyrosoft Ltd provides technology services to clients in the UK. This work is undertaken predominantly on a remote working basis; however some clients prefer a hybrid of remote delivery plus occasional time spent in the office. We are part of Spyrosoft group, named by the Financial Times as one of the fastest-growing IT services providers in Europe. We anticipate continuous strong year-on-year growth which may mean that our carbon emissions increase as our organisation continues to evolve.
Our environmental commitments and targets are set out within our Environmental Policy and associated protocols for operating in a sustainable manner. For clarity, in this document, all emissions data provided is focused on Spyrosoft Ltd, our UK operations, rather than our global operations.
At the end of FY2024 we have grown to 75 full-time members of staff (a 150% FTE growth rate from 30 FTEs in 2023), based either from our purpose-built serviced offices at Smartbase, Target Way, Aviation Park West, Christchurch, Dorset BH23 6NW or from home, but connected to our regional virtual office locations in London and Manchester. As a result of this increase, we anticipate that our carbon reduction activities will need to be increasingly targeted to enable us to continue to evidence a year-on-year reduction, regardless of the increase in our operations footprint.
Pour 2024 CDP ( https://www.cdp.net ) reporting we have continued to use the Net Zero Now tooling, now called Ecologi Zero provided by Ecologi ( https://ecologi.com/ ) to help us accurately measure, track and reduce emissions data in line with our company year-end financial reporting. The Spyrosoft Ltd carbon reporting period remains 01 January to 31 December.
In the year ending 2024, Spyrosoft Ltd incurred an increase in recorded emissions of 77.451 tCO2e, from total emissions of 58.944 tCO2e in 2023, to 136.395 tCO2e in 2024. This increase is attributed to the 150% FTE growth the company experienced during the year. Referring to our Net Zero Pathway, this now places Spyrosoft Ltd behind schedule to meet Net Zero in 2030 by 77.451 tCO2e.
For the coming year, Spyrosoft Ltd will continue its plan to follow a Science-Based Target, a pathway to achieve Net Zero by 2030, with a maximum of a 10% reduction achieved through offsets of our baseline emissions only for which we are not able to reduce or avoid.

Stratégies et objectifs de réduction des émissions
To achieve Net Zero by a reduction of at least 90% of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions by 2030, reduction strategies have been put in place with measurable targets where applicable.
Using the Science-based Target approach, we forecast that our carbon emissions will decrease to approximately 6.1778 tCO2e by 2030 through our commitment to sustainable behaviours as detailed below. We also aim to remove any residual carbon emissions through appropriate offset arrangements.
See Appendix 2 for Pathway to Net Zero by 2030, showing annual milestone science-based targets.

Les mesures de gestion environnementale suivantes ont été achevées ou mises en œuvre.
Nous avons :
- Updated our Environmental Policy and provided training to our team relating to recycling, power consumption reduction, and ethical / sustainable behaviours.

- Made a commitment to local procurement to eliminate haulage emissions and transportation impacts.
- Enacted a remote working policy to enable our team to undertake their role from home, and providing our team with software, hardware, and other items to enable this.

- We will expect our suppliers to demonstrably endeavour to reduce their environmental impact through waste reduction, energy efficiency and sustainable resource use. Our suppliers will be required to comply with all environmental laws and regulations. This includes the proper management of waste, emissions, and discharges; the safe handling and disposal of hazardous substances; and the reporting of environmental incidents. We will align ourselves with suppliers who actively work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to mitigating climate change. This could involve optimising transportation routes, improve energy efficiency, and investing in carbon offset projects. Efforts should be made to minimise the environmental impact of operations, including reducing energy consumption, minimising waste generation, and promoting recycling and reuse where possible. Suppliers will be encouraged to use resources efficiently, including water and raw materials, and to adopt sustainable practices wherever possible. Suppliers will need to take measures to prevent pollution, including air emissions, water pollution, and hazardous waste disposal.
- For business travel we will capture related emissions based on a usage allocation. For services requiring on-site customer visits, emissions will be recorded and allocated to the customer based on the number of visits undertaken per month.

- Committing to a Zero Waste goal: By 2030, we will reuse or recycle 100% of e-waste, as well as all office furniture and fully eliminate use of single-use plastics.
Déclaration et approbation
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with GOV.UK Procurement Policy Note 06/21: Taking account of Carbon Reduction Plans in the procurement of major government contracts, with associated guidance and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Facteurs de conversion des émissions du gouvernement pour les gaz à effet de serre reporting de l'entreprise.
Energy emissions have been accounted for using a Location-Based Approach. All emissions data has been calculated using the Net Zero Now tool, which uses The Greenhouse Gas Protocol: A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard.
